My Thoughts on AI

Daily Perspective: April 25th

A friend asked me for my thoughts on investing in AI. Here’s an expanded and simplified version of the insights I shared from my perspective.

Microsoft invested in its own generative AI platform early on and integrated it into its web browser, Bing. This has resulted in faster search times as the AI pulls the necessary information for users and provides links to deep dive further. I believe people will begin to replace Google on their phones with Bing as their preferred browser.

Microsoft's enterprise division and foothold in the community make it well-positioned to offer customized AI products for businesses to create their own AI and provide specialized knowledge to employees and customers. This is a no-brainer for Microsoft, especially with the cost of doing so getting cheaper and cheaper.

Another company I’m studying is Nvidia. They make GPU chips for 3D processing, video games, and large amounts of data. These chips provide the necessary computing power to build AI models, making them a valuable player in the industry.

An ETF I’m looking at from Vanguard, VGT, which includes Microsoft, Nvidia, and a few other companies in the AI space. I like finding diversified bets like ETFs that can be a good strategy for investing in AI.

It's important to note that this is not investment advice, but rather my daily perspectives on what I'm thinking about. I hope this helps those looking to invest in AI and stay ahead of the trend.
