Media and Our Mental Health

Daily Perspective: April 21st

In today's world, media is an essential part of our lives. It can come in many forms, such as radio, TV, movies, podcasts, blogs, newspapers, and more. But what is media? It is the flow of information, and it can influence our thoughts and ideas, whether we passively watch or read something or intentionally seek it out.

Our minds are like a blank slate when we are born, but over time, we begin to develop ideas and thoughts based on what we see, hear, and read. However, we often do not have a filter process for the media that comes in, which can lead to negative thoughts and stressors.

One of the most common sources of stress is watching the news. A lot of news organizations rely on sensationalism and negativity to gain viewers, which can lead to biases and skewed perspectives. It is crucial to be aware of this and to strive to seek out positive media sources that nourish our minds and promote mental health.

As we begin to value mental health more and more, positive media will become more important to us. It is essential to remember that negative thoughts about other people can affect our wealth pocket because our emotions can influence how we see all aspects of life.

Media is a powerful tool that can influence our thoughts and emotions. It is crucial to be intentional about the media we allow into our minds and to seek out positive sources that promote mental health and well-being.
